SSDA HAS COMPLETED OUR 2008 REGIONAL MEETINGS

SSDA has successfully completed our Regional Meetings throughout California. Superintendents and Trustees received valuable information in areas selected by a planning committee of members from the area.

The locations of the Regional’s were Pismo Beach (Central Valley and Coastal areas), San Diego, Redding, Mendocino, Modesto, Chico, and Rohnert Park. Regional Meetings were supported by attendees from SSDA’s Associate Members:

Over 80 Superintendents and Trustees in attendance provided input for the Executive Committee related to the timing of the Annual Conference and Regional Meetings.

San Diego County Office of Education representatives share a lunch break with Superintendents Jim Felix and Justin Cunningham at the San Diego Regional.

San Diego Regional attendees were treated to an outstanding presentation by Matthew Spathas, Partner, SENTRE Partners in San Diego. At the request of several of those in attendance, a copy of his Power Point Presentation "Engaging, Empowering and Preparing all Students for the 21st Century" has been included on this site. Ruben Ingram, School Employers Association of California discusses Collective Bargaining issues at the Mendocino Regional.

The Executive Committee will be planning future meetings for the 2009 - 2010 year and members are invited to provide information related to the Conference and Regional Meetings by contacting Al Sandrini at al@ssda.org
