02.19.2013: Legislative Update

Today is the start of the last week to introduce new legislation for consideration during 2013. Except for resolutions, urgency bills, constitutional amendments and a few other bills, February 22, 2013 is the introduction deadline.
As of Friday there had been 440 bills introduced in the Assembly and 315 in the State Senate. Expect there to be more than 1500 in the Assembly and 1,000 in the State Senate by the close of introduction deadline on Friday evening. Let the rush begin.
