Purpose & Vision

The Elevat-Ed Forum for New Superintendents is a premier leadership development program tailored specifically for aspiring and early-career superintendents. Designed by the Small School Districts’ Association (SSDA), the program supports leaders who are either applying for superintendent positions or have been in the role for less than three years. 
 
The program is built around FranklinCovey’s four essential roles of leadership:

  • Create Vision

  • Execute Strategy

  • Coach Potential

These traits form the foundation of the Elevat-Ed experience, informing all sessions, reflections, and leadership activities. 

Program Overview

📌 Program Fee: $2,950 per participant
👥 Maximum Cohort Size: 30 participants
✅ Eligibility:

  • Current superintendents with less than three years of experience

  • Individuals actively applying for a superintendent role

Program Format: Hybrid (in-person and webinar-based)

Program Includes:

  • Two-Day Kick-Off Event at the SSDA Small School Superintendency Retreat (includes conference registration)

  • Nine Expert-Led Sessions throughout the year

  • Full 360° Leadership Review

  • Two Full SSDA Conference Registrations (Summer & Annual Conference)

  • March 8 -11, 2026 - Session 7: SSDA Annual State Conference - Strategic Planning Through Your LCAP 

  • April 10, 2026 - Session 8: Crisis Management and Communications: Developing plans for handling emergencies and effectively communicating with stakeholders (1 Hour Webinar)
